  • Schnebly Redland's Winery & Brewery

    30205 SW 217th Ave. Homestead/Florida City

    305-242-1224

In 2003, Peter and Denisse Schnebly turned their 30-acre farm in southwest Miami-Dade into a fruit-forward Florida winery, a subtropical oasis amid the area's agricultural sprawl. It's the perfect setting to enjoy a midday meal or weekend brunch. Coral-like limestone walls wind their way over walkways perched above a koi pond and past a lagoon with cascading waterfalls, a beautiful backdrop for the property, which offers visitors three distinct experiences. Start with a craft beer from Miami Brewing Company, then hit the indoor/outdoor tasting rooms where you can sample Schnebly's wines, made from lychee, guava, carambola, passionfruit, and other exotic fruits. Complete your Schnebly experience with a leisurely meal at the Redlander, the family's immense tiki-hut restaurant, whose brunch-style menu highlights local produce.

  • Casa La Rubia Brewery & Pub

    55 NW 25th St. Midtown/Wynwood/Design District

    786-362-6300

In early 2024, Wynwood Brewing and Veza Sur Brewing Company joined forces, merging two of Miami’s original craft breweries under one roof. To cap off this new chapter, in December Veza Sur rebranded as Casa La Rubia, in honor of Wynwood Brewing’s iconic La Rubia Blonde Ale. Today, Casa La Rubia proudly produces and pours signature brews from both breweries, including fan favorites like Mangolandia, Father Francisco, and Pop’s Porter alive and flowing. With its vibrant indoor and outdoor spaces, Casa La Rubia is more than just a brewpub — it’s a community gathering place, hosting everything from salsa nights to spirited fútbol watch parties.

  • Funky Buddha Brewery

1201 NE 38th St. Oakland Park

    954-440-0046

When it arrived on the scene in 2010, Funky Buddha Brewery was among the first Florida breweries to introduce food-infused beers to the suds-guzzling masses. And not just any food — an entire library of pop-culture fare. Fan favorites include a range of inspiration, from desserts and sandwiches to cocktails and spirits — even an agave-based hard seltzer — all riffed as part of Funky's ever-expanding and seasonally rotating repertoire. That means key-lime, sweet-potato-casserole, and peanut-butter-and-jelly ales, and porters infused with maple, bacon, and coffee. The production brewery and taproom in Oakland Park also houses the Craft Food Counter & Kitchen, whose fast-casual menu is the edible equivalent of the beer lineup.

  • LauderAle Brewery

3305 SW 14th Ave. Fort Lauderdale

    954-653-9711

Hidden in Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades complex, LauderAle is a dog-friendly, kid-friendly and (yes) monkey-friendly brewery with a small-town feel. The beers made here carry Florida-fresh notes of lemon, orange, and pineapple. That's not to say LauderAle only brews fruited sours; here you'll also find porters, IPAs, even a Belgian tripel whose 9.2 percent ABV will make your toes curl. The brewery hosts food trucks nightly on a rotating basis, and on weekends there's live music. Dogs are welcomed with fresh water and cookies. And the monkeys? Well, you can't bring your own, but there's a colony of vervets that hang out in the trees right behind the brewery. LauderAle even hosts fundraisers to make sure the primates are taken care of.

  • Lincoln's Beard Brewing Co.

    7360 SW 41st St. Coral Gables/S. Miami

    305-912-7390

When John Falco opened Lincoln's Beard in May 2016, he chose a spot near Westchester rather than compete with established brewers in Wynwood and Doral. Today, Falco's brewery stands as a community hub in Miami's Bird Road Art District. It's an industrial space where you can always find a cold pint served with a hefty dose of ambiance and live entertainment. Part of its success is Falco's commitment to giving back, continually playing host for a fundraising karaoke night or beer-and-food-inspired festival. The house-brewed beers rotate frequently and pair perfectly with the on-premises food truck, Lala’s Burgers, an offshoot of the wildly popular Apocalypse BBQ. The smash patty-focused menu goes well with any of the core brews — say, Crisp-O-Currency Czech pale lager or P. Swayze American IPA.

  • Lost City Brewing Company

12207 NE 13th Ct. North Miami

    305-456-0318

Lost City Brewing, which opened in the summer of 2020 amid the pandemic, feels like a rare find amid Miami's burgeoning beer landscape. The taproom is located in a warehouse complex, which suits its industrial setting. Inside, you'll find a small bar and a comfortable lounge with leather sofas. The beers are straightforward and well-crafted — not many novelties here. Instead, you'll enjoy infinitely drinkable ales in a convivial setting.

  • MIA Bruhaus

    10400 NW 33rd St. Doral

    786-801-1721

If it's variety you crave, MIA Bruhaus is the brewery for you. Owner Eddie Leon created this Doral brewery and distillery (formerly M.I.A. Beer Company) as an experimental playground for all things beer and craft booze-inspired. Today that means a beer garden and tasting room with a 50-plus roster of craft IPAs, lagers, ales, sours, and stouts. In true experimental fashion, MIA was one of the first U.S. breweries to create its own flavored hard seltzer. Can't decide what to try first? Choose any four and order a flight. The in-house restaurant, "powered by" Farmhouse Barbecue, offers everything from everything from pretzels and wings to tostones, croquetas, burgers, and pulled pork sandwiches.

  • Tarpon River Brewing

280 SW Sixth St. Fort Lauderdale

    954-353-3193

The idea was born in 2013, when founders Julien and Lisa Siegel — proprietors of craft beer bar mecca Riverside Market and Craft Beer Cartel — partnered with Native Brewing founder Adam Fine and TRP's Tim Petrillo. The team originally planned to name their project New River, but a trademark conflict led to Tarpon River Brewing, a marriage of Petrillo's Tarpon Bend and the Siegels' Riverside Market. The brewhouse was constructed in the early 1920s as the Snyder Stables, which housed the horses that paved the roads that helped urbanize the city. As a result, the taproom offers a distinct, Old Florida design that includes its own 1,000-square-foot "house" — a perfect setting to enjoy the brewery's in-house food and beer. Here, you'll find a wide range of pub-grub favorites, from a "Big Ass" pretzel with beer cheese to Buffalo fried cauliflower to a PB&J Burger to fried fish tacos. Pair your meal with a beer from any of the brewery's 16 taps.

  • Tripping Animals Brewing Co.

    2685 NW 105th Ave. Doral

    305-646-1339

Tripping Animals partners Daniel Chocron, Ignacio Montenegro, Iker Elorriaga, and Juan Manuel Torres founded their brewery in Doral with the idea that everyone could get trippy. To that end, the Tripping team imbues everything they do with party-hearty gusto. The taproom is well-known for its large-format festivals, insanely fruity sours, heavy-hitting IPAs, and creative animal-themed can art. Hungry? The brewery's Trippy Kitchen serves up a range of Latin American flavors in dishes like tequeños, churrasco parrilla, and a loaded hot dog.

  • Unseen Creatures Brewing & Blending

    4178 SW 74th Ct. Westchester/West Miami

    786-332-2903

Unseen Creatures Brewing & Blending husband-and-wife cofounders Marco and Vicky Leyte-Vidal offer Miami-Dade a different type of brewery in the heart of the Bird Road Art District. This is one of the few South Florida breweries with an onsite blending facility specializing in oak barrel-aged, mixed-fermentation wild and sour beers that use local ingredients and microflora. Unseen Creatures' beers are influenced by the farmhouse traditions of Belgium and France but aren't limited to the same set of guidelines or style requirements. How? It's all thanks to those unseen "creatures" — locally foraged yeast and bacteria that lend these beers their unique flavor profile. Beers here are inherently refreshing and sessionable.
