On Thursday, May 17,  Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami hosted the opening of its newest exhibition, Terry Adkins: Infinity is Always Less Than One. The first posthumous show of Adkins' career is a multi-media survey of conceptual work throughout significant periods in the artist's life, creating immersive installations of both found and made work, highlighting significant black cultural figures Zora Neal Hurston, Bessie Smith, Jimi Hendrix, and white abolitionist John Brown, who have been unrecognized in American history. Infinity is Less Than One assembles more than 50 pieces spanning multiple decades and will be on view at ICA Miami until September 23.
